The first prescription CBD medication is officially on the market in a new category for anti-epileptic drugs. The medication is manufactured by GW Pharmaceuticals and is estimated to cost around $32,500 per year, and U.S. insurance companies have yet to confirm whether they will cover the expenses. However, the company offers the support program EPIDIOLEX Engage™ to enable access to therapy for patients by lowering out-of-pocket costs or at no cost for eligible patients.
